Report on Educational Visit to Vidhan Soudha

On 22nd July 2026 (Wednesday), the Grade 6 students participated in an educational visit to Vidhan Soudha, Bengaluru. The purpose of the trip was to enhance understanding of the functioning of the state government, the democratic system, and the importance of responsible citizenship.

Vidhan Soudha, the seat of the Karnataka State Legislature, impressed us with its magnificent architecture, towering pillars, and beautifully maintained gardens. During the visit, a guide explained the significance of the building and informed that it houses the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council, where elected representatives meet to discuss, debate, and pass laws for the welfare of the people.

The visit provided valuable insights into the history and construction of Vidhan Soudha, the role of the legislature, and the principles of good governance. Students also observed the disciplined environment, the security arrangements, and the national flag flying proudly, which reinforced our respect for democratic institutions and public service. Learning about the responsibilities of public representatives helped us appreciate how decisions are made to serve the citizens of the state.

This educational excursion provided students with valuable insights into the democratic process, the functioning of the Karnataka State Government, and the responsibilities of public representatives. It enhanced our understanding of good governance and encouraged us to develop a stronger sense of civic responsibility.
