Report on Educational Visit to BAMUL

As part of the school's experiential learning programme, the Grade 8 students of NPS HRD visited Bangalore Milk Union Limited (BAMUL), Dairy Circle, Bengaluru. The educational visit was organized to help students understand the journey of milk from collection to processing, packaging, quality control, and distribution while gaining first-hand exposure to one of Karnataka's leading dairy cooperatives.

During the guided tour, students observed various stages of milk processing, including milk reception, pasteurization, homogenization, quality testing, packaging, and cold storage. They also gained insights into the strict hygiene standards, automated machinery, and quality assurance measures followed at the dairy plant.

The visit enabled students to connect classroom concepts in Science and Social Science with real-life industrial practices. They understood the significance of food safety, sustainable dairy farming, cooperative management, and the contribution of the dairy industry to nutrition and the rural economy. As a warm gesture of hospitality, the students were served fresh buttermilk and sweets, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Overall, the educational visit to BAMUL was informative, engaging, and enriching. It provided valuable practical exposure beyond the classroom and inspired students to appreciate the science, technology, and teamwork involved in delivering safe and nutritious dairy products to consumers.
