The PEP – Parent Engagement Programme, “PRERNA,” was organised for the students of Grade 7 with the objective of strengthening the partnership between the school, parents and students. As part of the programme, parents actively volunteered to conduct interactive knowledge-sharing sessions on a variety of topics beyond the regular academic curriculum. The sessions covered Artificial Intelligence in Daily Life, Dreams and Determination, Financial Literacy, Impact of Technology on the Job Market, Magic of Vedic Mathematics, Robotics and Automation, and Time Management for Students. Through these sessions, students were introduced to emerging technologies, financial awareness, goal setting, future careers, innovative mathematical techniques, robotics, automation and effective time-management strategies.
The programme provided students with opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-life applications while developing curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, responsible decision-making and future-oriented awareness. The active involvement of parents was a key strength of PRERNA, as they generously shared their knowledge, expertise and experiences, enriching the students’ learning beyond the conventional classroom environment. The enthusiastic participation of Grade 7 students made the sessions informative, engaging and meaningful. Overall, PRERNA served as a valuable example of collaborative learning and a strong parent–school partnership, contributing to the development of informed, confident and responsible learners.
