School Uniform Guidelines

1. General Expectations

• Students must wear the prescribed school uniform, including the ID card, on all working days, PTMs, and school functions.
• Uniform must be clean, well-fitted, labelled, and neatly maintained.
• Black shoes (Mon–Thu) and white shoes (Friday).
• Socks must be plain white, clean, and ankle length.
• Students must always be well-dressed and well-groomed, reflecting school pride and identity.

2. Uniform – Boys

• Prescribed school shirt and trousers/shorts as applicable.
• Vest (innerwear) is mandatory.
• Hair must be short, neat, and well-maintained, with no fancy hairstyles.
• Boys are not permitted to have a moustache or a beard.

3. Uniform – Girls

• Prescribed school uniform.
• Brown/skin-coloured leggings as prescribed.
• Slips (innerwear) are mandatory.
• Hair must be neatly tied.
• Only black hair accessories are permitted.

4. Footwear and Additional Requirements

• Shoes must be clean and polished.
• House caps must be worn during PE and sports activities.
• Only school-approved jackets/sweaters are permitted.

5. Grooming and Accessories (General Guidelines)

• Real jewellery and expensive accessories are strictly not allowed.
• No nail polish, mehndi, or tattoos are permitted.
• Students must maintain a neat, modest, and disciplined appearance.
• Hair must be clean, neat, and well-groomed. Long hair must be tied neatly.
• Hair colouring or unconventional styles are not permitted.
• Smartwatches or electronic gadgets are not allowed unless authorized.

6. Special Instructions

• Coloured clothes are not permitted on birthdays; students must attend in full school uniform.
• Any deviation from prescribed uniform or grooming standards will invite corrective action.

7. Identity Cards

• Wearing the school ID card is mandatory.
• ID cards must be maintained properly with the prescribed lanyard.
• Replacement for damaged/lost cards, lanyards, or an ID card must be obtained through the school on a payment basis.

8. Winter Wear Guidelines

• Only school-approved winter wear is permitted.
• Sleeveless thermals or vests may be worn under the uniform.
• Coloured or visible full-sleeve thermals are not permitted.

9. Maintenance and Presentation

• Uniform must be clean and regularly washed.
• Properly labelled.
• Maintained in good condition (no tears, fading, or damage).

Discipline Policy

1. Expected Behaviour
Students are expected to:

• Show respect to teachers, peers, and staff.
• Follow school rules and instructions.
• Maintain discipline in classrooms and common areas.
• Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and cooperation.

2. Discipline in School Transport (Bus Conduct)
Students using school transport must:

• Be punctual at designated bus stops.
• Board and disembark in an orderly manner.
• Remain seated while the bus is in motion.
• Follow the instructions of the bus staff/attendant.
• Maintain silence and discipline to ensure safety.
• Refrain from shouting, moving around, or distracting the driver.
• Respect fellow students and avoid any form of bullying or misconduct.
• Avoid damage to bus property.

Any misconduct in the school bus will be treated as a serious disciplinary issue and may lead to withdrawal of transport privileges in addition to other disciplinary action.

3. Prohibited Behaviour

• Bullying, harassment, or intimidation.
• Use of inappropriate language or behaviour.
• Damage to school property (including transport).
• Possession of prohibited items.
• Any conduct that disrupts safety or the learning environment.

4. Positive Discipline Approach

• Counselling and guidance.
• Behaviour reflection and correction.
• Reinforcement of positive conduct.

5. Disciplinary Measures

• Verbal warning.
• Written note / parental communication.
• Counselling or corrective action.
• Restriction of privileges (including transport).
• Suspension (in serious cases).
