Constitution Day 2022

November 2022 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. This day was originally declared as Constitution Day, on 19th November 2015, by the Indian Government through a gazette notification. Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, who became the first law minister of India in the Congress-led Centre, was appointed as the chairman of the constitution drafting committee in 1947 and was given the responsibility of writing the country’s new constitution.

Various programmes were held, in our school, to spread thoughts and ideas of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and as per the Department of Education and Literacy, the preamble of the constitution was read by the students. In addition, a quiz competition was held on the subject of the constitution of India and an eloquent speech was delivered on the salient features of the constitution. American historian Granville Seward Austin has described the Constitution drafted by Ambedkar as the ‘first and foremost a social document’.
