Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at National Public School, Hosur Road.
The ceremony began with the unfurling of the Indian tri-colour flag and playing of the national anthem followed by the cultural programmes. The entire school performed different events with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm in respect to our nation. The KG students depicted the fervour of Independence with a colourful display of national symbols and the freedom fighters in the fancy-dress event. The students of Grades 1-5 performed patriotic songs, dance and drama to uphold the integrity and a strong spirit of patriotism
The Principal in her address to the students reiterated that, when every citizen lives a life of accountability and responsibility, our country will regain its greatness. She also spoke about the glorious years of Independence India and our responsibilities towards nation building.
