Independence Day 2022

“Freedom cannot be bought by money. We earned ours, through years of struggle against the British rule. Let us remember all those who fought for our country.”

National Public School, Hosur Road celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from 13th - 15th August 2022, marking the historic completion of 75 years of Independence. The very first Independence Day was celebrated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, by unfurling the Tricolor, at Red Fort. On this very day we got our freedom from the tyranny of the Britishers who came to India, on the pretext of trade and gradually took over everything, converting us into their slaves. Today, we stand together retrospecting into past and remembering those unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives, without any expectation.

National Public School, Hosur Road, Bengaluru, conducted a series of events to make this day a memorable one. The hoisting of the National Flag filled our hearts with pride and fervour, reliving the spirit of patriotism. Students across all grades participated in the program to show their respect towards the auspicious day. Clad in the colours of the tricolour, the students made us awestruck by delivering a heart-rending patriotic song, which filled the air with a strong sense of patriotism, a feeling of brotherhood and unity. The song was followed by a dance performance, portraying the heroes of the yesteryears who sacrificed themselves for their country. In the midst of all, we commemorated and paid homage to all the freedom fighters and we relived the moment of freedom.

The event was curtained off by the National Anthem followed by the distribution of sweets. Today let us take some time to value our Nation. Let every Indian feel proud and let us take a pledge that we will work hard towards the progress of our motherland to keep up her name and fame in the world. We will let our tricolor fly high ever on the sky to tell the world that we are the great on this earth.

“Ask not what your country has done for you, but ask what have you done for your country.”
